Dave
splitboard GUIDE
Owner

Dave is an ACMG Ski Guide (splitboard). He is referred to by his wife as a snow gorilla, tending to take challenges head-on. Dave burst onto the guiding scene 5 years ago with an insatiable thirst for hut trips, basecamps, and getting out into the mountains whenever it is possible.

Dave's ultimate goal is to take you somewhere you would not go yourself. It usually takes a little extra effort but when your back at the hut you'll be glad you did.

Chef

Grew up skiing the icy east coast winters, ski instructor for the local resort and high school program.

I moved to the Kootenays in 2014, based in Nelson and the Slocan Valley, was back then introduced to touring in BC, figured I could never go back now...

Moved to Revelstoke in 2017, I've been cooking for remote camps in the summer, Rope Tech in the fall and exploring Rogers Pass and the region’s mountains in the winter, interested in touring, mountaineering and cooking, I’m now in the best setup to do all my favorite things.

Focused on our local economy my priority is to use local products when available, foraging and fermenting are part of my approach and I have an interest bringing international flavors to the table.

Always open to new ideas and highly adaptable I love making food from scratch and sharing a meal at a full table!

He is professional and charismatic. With a humble demeanor, Dan is truly a pleasure to be around and an amazing guide.

Originally from Alberta, Dan now calls Squamish home. In the winter he splits his time guiding ski touring, heli-skiing and avalanche forecasting. While his summers are spent guiding rock and alpine routes all over BC and even the odd canoe trip.

Dan is endlessly in pursuit of adventure and feels privileged to share the search with others.
