Service Description
Pricing: Pricing is for the whole group to a max of 6 people. Tax is added at checkout. Hire one of our certified guides to take you deep into the Purcell Mountains for an unforgettable backcountry adventure. With abundant access thanks to the local logging industry and network of roads, you and your group use your own snowmobiles (sleds) to reach prime zones quickly. Everyone is competent on their sleds—no shuttling required—so we focus on guiding the ski/splitboard portion while you handle your own access. From high-start points reached by sled, skin short distances to access untouched lines, deep powder bowls, expansive glades, steep couloirs, and alpine faces in the stunning Purcell Mountains near Golden, BC. This hybrid approach delivers maximum vertical and endless fresh tracks with efficient, self-reliant access to remote terrain, making it ideal for those wanting big days without full human-powered approaches from the valley bottom—but remember, this is real backcountry with avalanche hazards, cornices, variable conditions, and remote exposure demanding respect. Why Go Guided? Team up with a certified ACMG ski guide for expert route-finding, avalanche assessment, and terrain matched perfectly to your group's ability and current conditions. Whether you're transitioning from resort skiing/snowboarding to backcountry or chasing advanced lines and big vert, our guides deliver safe, legendary days with companion rescue instruction and avalanche safety training to keep everyone confident and charging. Your own sleds get you in efficiently, letting the guide maximize your time on the best snow. Your Private Sled-Access Backcountry Day Tour: Guiding: Full day private adventure with a certified ACMG ski or splitboard guide. Group Size: Up to 6 guests for personalized pacing and maximum vertical (ideal for friends or family splitting the stoke). Inclusions: Hands-on avalanche safety training and transceiver practice. ACMG guide(s) to scout and access the best untracked powder zones based on daily conditions. Tailored experience: Guide escort and leadership for the touring/skiing portion (your group provides and operates its own sleds for access).
